Some people don’t like us.

Some people think that people gathering together to laugh, play, ride their bikes, have some drinks, and then clean up after themselves and go home (or to tacos, or to the bar, or to ride more trails) is a bad thing.  So bad, that they feel like alerting the park rangers that this simply unacceptable celebration of bicycles, friends, revelry and fun is about to occur.  So that the rangers are waiting for us as we unload the supplies.

That’s alright though.  You can’t stop a dinosaur from roaring. You can’t stop a cowboy from hoopin’ an hollerin’.  Things might be a little wacky on our public webpage for a while.

I wouldn’t trust anything these soil salooners say up here round this here site.  I mean, they are off road cyclists, who like a drink with their friends in the open air of our parks.  What heathens. What bicycle barbarians.

  1. Heartbreakin’ situation yesterday, but the Saloon that is Soil will surely live on in our hearts (and in reality too, if less publicly I’m sure).

  2. I don’t know what you guys are talking about. The race totally went down, in fact I killed it. I destroyed that little bitch Brittany. She thinks she’s all that on her Lil’ Princess Schwinn, all color coordinated. Thats right, cry, cry just cause I threw alittle elbow in that last corner, whatevs if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen cause I was cookin.
And that guy with the huge basket and the beard with grass in it…puhleeze, it was like he wasn’t even racin, all drinking in the bushes and shit.
